Latest News and Reviews

Big Wins at NATSAA - In January 2022, Alan was proud to win two awards at the National Association of Teachers of Singing Artist Awards Competition, the Irma Cooper Prize and the Most Promising Singer Prize. The performance was live streamed on the NATS website and recordings are still available upon request via our contact page.

A New Winterreise - In partnership with fellow DMA student and exceptional pianist Lucas Barkley, Alan presented the first in a series of performances of Schubert’s Winterreise in a semi-staged presentation. Many more performances will be given in the greater Pittsburgh area in the coming months, and these will be announced on social media and on our website.

Winterreise now on YouTube - The live-streamed recording of Schubert’s Winterreise is now available on Alan’s YouTube channel, Alan Cline, Baritone. Go on over to enjoy the music, and then like, comment, and subscribe to support us as the channel grows.

First time in public with this little gem! Been waiting for a while to let people hear it and happy to get the chance with Pittsburgh Festival Opera!

One of the hardest things about being an musician is being away from home for work, but it it made easier by having a happy, healthy home to.come back to. Lara is so incredibly supportive, we have a happy home, a chunky cat, and now Bella too! Updates on the summer coming soon!

Happy to announce that Lucas Barkley and I are winners in this year's Pittsburgh Concert Society Auditions! Our winning recital will be presented this fall, so stay tuned for details.

I love working with kind and wonderful people who are also incredibly talented. In that vein, I'm excited to expand my relationship with MJB Productions as my official provider of recording tech and music production. Be looking on my website and YouTube because a WHOLE TON of new recordings are coming soon!

With contracts signed and rep selected, I'm happy to announce that this summer I will be a Hans and Leslie Fleischner Young Artist at Pittsburgh Festival Opera! I'm incredibly excited to get to make music at my first summer program in 2 years and get to perform some of my favorite rep, Verdi and Bizet! Stoked!
